A skincare routine is essential for a beautiful, healthy skin that exudes alegria. Check out these tips for each skin type.
First of all, you should already know the expression skincare routine, but if you never heard it, we will explain: basically, it includes all those steps that you have to repeat daily, weekly and monthly for a great skin care.
But a skin care ritual goes a little further than the products you use: sleeping an adequate number of hours, drinking plenty of water, and having a healthy diet are also ways to keep your skin healthy. Likewise, not smoking, and protecting your skin from the cold are equally important.
What is your skin type?
There are many different skin types, but the main ones are as follows:
A skin type is considered “normal” when it is neither dry nor oily, nor is it affected by problems such as rosacea or irritation. This type of skin is usually the easiest to care for, as the oil level is balanced. Even though it is a skin type that has less associated care, it still requires a routine to stay healthy.
An oily skin is one that produces too much oil. This type of skin is easily identified by the presence of acne, black spots, very visible pores and that “glow” in the T zone (forehead, nose and chin).
In a dry skin, the oil level is naturally low, which makes it easier to dehydrate, and even appear more brittle or rough. It is common for dry skin to have “skin scales” when using unsuitable products.
Sensitive skin is very susceptible to redness, various irritations, blemishes, small wounds, and inflammation. This type of skin needs more delicate care, with no-irritants components, aromas, color, etc.
Mixed skin is very common and, unfortunately, the most difficult to treat. Like personalities, no skin type is exactly the same, and mixed skin is just like that: it can have characteristics of dry and oily skin, in different ways in each person. Here, you may have to try various combinations until you find the perfect mix – but, don’t worry, it exists!
This is not exactly a skin type in itself, it is more of a mixture of types. The “combined” skin can be normal to oily, normal to mixed, normal to dry, dry and sensitive, or even oily and sensitive.
