Summer is almost here and with it comes the long-awaited vacation! But how can one travel these days? Today we bring you some tips for an incredible vacation, in communion with nature – if you are able to visit Portugal!
This year, the summer will be a little different than usual. There are specific and more or less tight rules that you will have to follow. However, this does not mean that you have to give up your vacation! On the contrary: if you can, it is a great opportunity to get to know the wonderful places that our country has to offer – and to discover the joy of being Portuguese throughout the process.
Tips for a holiday full of Alegria
Our country is amazing to spend holidays in, as it offers a little bit of everything: good weather, good food, lots of nature, beaches, river areas … combined with a lot of culture and history to discover.
And the most amazing thing is that, many times, you have a dream vacation waiting for you just around the corner!
Check out these tips for spending a summer vacation close to nature and full of alegria! You will only be left to choose the ideal company!
Go camp with friends
The campsites are going to reopen and we think this is great news and an excellent idea to put into practice after a few weeks confined at home!
It is healthy to change the air and, honestly, a breath of fresh air sounds great nowadays. Look for campsites (but don’t forget to confirm that they are open and what the limitations are), and organize a camping trip with your friends. Festival mode: ON!
Don’t forget: solar lamps, mosquito repellent, and a Casal Garcia Sangria to toast at sunset.
Book a room at a mountain hotel
Are you looking for some calm and quiet? We understand you so well! Why not spend a few days in a hotel in the mountains?
Disconnect from routine, from emails, from the computer … Does it seem like a dream? It may be a reality. The North and Interior of Portugal are full of offers for a holiday completely “offline” and ideal for recharging your batteries.
Don’t forget to bring the appropriate walking shoes, sunscreen, a bottle of Casal Garcia Sparkling and, of course, to take a photo with toasting on the balcony, with a spectacular view!
Holiday home, away from all
If the important thing for you is friends and fun and not so much tourism itself, gather a group the people who are most special to you and rent a holiday home far away from the city. Only you, a pool, and no worries!
Are you thinking about somewhere in Alentejo? If you are, then you are thinking the right way.
Must-haves: don’t go through Alentejo without eating a delicious açorda, without sharing a local lamb dish, or without enjoying Alentejo’s cheeses. To accompany, a delicious Casal Garcia Branco that tastes so good on any occasion!
Environmentally friendly holidays
Expressions like ecotourism, eco-holidays or eco-hotels are becoming more and more common in our vocabulary, and for a good reason.
Ecotourism is a form of tourism that invests in environmentally friendly solutions, usually related to nature and local commerce. If the environment and its preservation are topics that are often in your mind, why not try a eco-friendly accommodation? There are more and more bungalows, lodges and ecological villas in various places in Continental Portugal, as well as in the Azores and Madeira.
But, when preparing your bags for a sustainable vacation, don’t forget a reusable bottle of water, leaving electronic devices at home and taking a bottle of Casal Garcia Sweet, perfect for a very sweet evening in the company of your best friends.
And in the end, the most important thing is to have Alegria, always with Casal Garcia!
Please check first if you will be able to enter Portugal safely. If you will, then you’re in for a treat!
